It’s been another fantastic month in the world of Jamie Cullum which has seen him perform on the very last Parkinson show - a true honour for Jamie.
He joined worldwide icons Michael Caine, David Beckham, Judi Dench, David Attenborough, Peter Kay, Billy Connolly and Dame Edna Everage in an all-star line up for Michael Parkinson’s very last show, representing a phenomenal career spanning over four decades. Jamie performed “Please Don’t Talk About Me When I’m Gone” in tribute to the host and you can see the two hour special on Sunday 16th December on ITV (UK). This was Jamie's fifth performance on the show - a record for a musical artist.
In other news, Jamie flew out to Los Angeles for the premier of Grace is Gone. Jamie contributed to the soundtrack, performing on the title track exclusively for the movie (Music by Clint Eastwood, Lyrics by Carole Bayer Sager, Performed by Jamie Cullum) which has recently been nominated for the Critic's Choice Award for Best Composer and an International Press Academy 12th Annual Satellite Award in the best Original Song category. The song Grace is Gone has also been nominated for a Golden Globe award! You can now hear a clip of the song on Jamie's myspace and it is available to buy on iTunes.
In November Jamie took time out from recording in the studio to tour with The Geoff Gascoyne Project across the UK on a number of dates showcasing Geoff's amazing bass playing and song writing.
Jamie is currently in the studio recording his next album, due for release next year. There will be lots of exciting updates coming over the next few months which you will hear about first, only on jamiecullum.com.
